Dr. Vaishnavi Veetil

Dr. Vaish Veetil is an internationally trained optometrist who has registered with the College of Optometrists of Ontario as a licensed optometrist, after having completed the rigorous credentialing process that includes the Canadian optometry board exams. She is also a member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists.

She graduated from BITS Pilani University – Elite School of Optometry, India (2008) and received the Professor SRG Prize for excellence in Pediatric Optometry. Upon graduation, she worked as a senior optometrist in Sankara Nethralaya, a tertiary eye care hospital. During this time, she cared extensively for patients of all age groups in various optometric specialities, especially the binocular vision and vision therapy clinic, and was awarded the 2011 Outstanding Optometrist of the Year.

Later, she worked in Singapore as a pediatric optometrist for a research project involving 3-year-old children, before moving to Canada in 2018.

She strongly believes in a holistic approach towards providing excellent eye care to enhance patients’ overall quality of life.

While her nose is not buried in an optometry magazine, you can find her catching a movie or reality show, spending quality time with her family and hanging out in her favourite Japanese restaurant.
